After opening a Term Deposit account, you can exercise your right of withdrawal up to 14 days after the account has been opened.
For most banks, you can revoke a deposit online through your account. Here’s how:
In the Raisin App:
- Log in to the Raisin app.
- Go to 'My savings' and click on 'Deposit accounts.'
- Select the account you want to close.
- Click on 'Close account.'
On your computer/ Raisin.ie website:
- Log in to your Raisin Account
- Go to 'My savings' and click on 'Deposit accounts.'
- Click on 'Close Account' under the details of the account you wish to close.
Can't see an option to close the deposit online?
Please send a message from your Raisin Account or an email from your registered email address to service@raisin.ie within 14 calendar days of opening the deposit. Please include the following details:
- Subject: 'Revoke deposit' (to help classify and process your request)
- Bank Name: The name of the bank you opened the account with
- Deposit ID: (Starts with FDA_111_ or FDA_511_) found under 'My savings > Deposit accounts > Details' of the deposit you want to close.
You will receive a confirmation via a message in your Raisin Account or an email to your registered email address once the deposit is terminated. Your original deposit will be returned to your Raisin account without interest.
If the cooling-off period has expired, termination conditions and possible costs depend on the bank's policy. This information can be found in the Product Information Sheet and the General Terms and Conditions of the bank.
