What is the withholding tax in each country and what documentations do I need to reduce it?

Please ensure it is signed and stamped by the Irish Revenue authority. 

Letter of Residence confirming your Irish tax residency.

The Czech tax authorities now only accept tax documents issued or signed no more than 90 days before the date of interest payment. At the same time, you must send the certificate no later than 4 weeks before maturity.  

Residence certificate.

This is a standard form which we will provide you once you have opened an account. Please submit the relevant documents to your responsible tax authorities 12 months before the due date to allow plenty of time for them to be returned.  

You must send the original form by post to Raisin no later than eight weeks before the interest payment (i.e. before the due date), after which we will forward it to the partner bank for you. 

To reduce the withholding tax to 10% (from 15%), it is necessary to submit the tax documentation no earlier than 6 months and no later than 4 weeks before the maturity date.

Important: The Lithuanian tax authorities only accept tax documents that are correctly dated and signed in the same year as your deposit’s maturity. If your deposit matures during the first weeks of the new year, it may not be possible to submit valid tax documentation in time, and therefore the withholding tax cannot be reduced.

You must also send us a Tax certificate provided by Irish Revenue which you can order via the 'MyAccount' service on Revenue.ie. This process is required for each deposit you hold with a Lithuanian bank.

Form "21-RFI"

This is a standard form which we will provide you once you have opened an account. Please submit the respective documents to your responsible tax authorities 12 months (no earlier!) before the due date. 

You must send the original form, completed and signed, by post to Raisin no later than four weeks before the interest payment (i.e. before the due date), after which we will forward it to the partner bank for you. 

Letter of Residence confirming your Irish tax residency. 

This certificate must be submitted no later than four weeks before the maturity of the deposit. 

Form "Auto Declaración de Residencia Fiscal de Persona Física y Jurídica". 

This form is only required once per customer (before opening their first deposit account) and will therefore neither be required when ordering any additional deposits nor for renewals. It will be made available to you in the "Documents" section of your online banking immediately after your first deposit request.
